Environmental Partnerships

Each year the BayWood Artists consider nonprofit environmental organizations to partner with that are aligned with our mission. Our group then meets to discuss which organization will best help us meet our goals. We invite this group to attend a BayWood meeting to hear about their environmental concerns and efforts. We explain our proposal to produce an exhibition to benefit their cause. We are pleased that the groups we have approached have wholeheartedly accepted our offer. More recently, groups have begun to seek us out to choose them to be the recipient organization.

Once we a have reached an agreement to partner with a group for a benefit show, we begin our journey for the year. We plan the show, discuss the budget, divide the workload, and begin the tasks at hand. Much effort goes into making our shows the successful events they have come to be. Our enjoyment as artists begins in plein air painting at locations that represent the environmental concerns of the partner organization on the lands we love.
