Zenaida Mott

Award winning artist, Zenaida Mott, has lived, painted, and exhibited in Africa, Japan, New England, and her native California. A studio as well as plein air artist, she specializes in landscapes and wildlife.

The preservation of remaining open space and wilderness is a major concern as well as the primary influence and inspiration for her oil paintings. “Zee Zee” grew up backpacking with her family, whom she credits with giving her not only a deep respect and love for the land and its wildlife, but also with a strong sense of responsibility for helping to actively preserve them.

Fourteen years ago, to help “give back”, she helped found the BayWood Artists, the first group of professional artists in Northern California dedicated to open space preservation.

She has been the Featured Artist in numerous shows, as well as in national magazines, including Southwest Art, Plein Air Magazine, and Art of the West.
